XSLT debugging

  Asked By: Shonda    Date: Dec 04    Category: MOSS    Views: 10653

On A MOSS custom list I have a DFWP and replaced ALL of the XSLT. It worked
quite fine until the calendar year changed.

In the UI WP XSLT source window I wanted to add a few debugging lines. I began
by trying to add the plain TEXT *** line below (without the ***). The WP fails
to render. I moved this line around, it still failed. It displays as before (OK
but wrong) when I delete this line.
==================Main Driver Code Follows
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"
xmlns:msxsl="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:xslt"
xmlns:ddwrt2="urn:frontpage:internal">

<xsl:import
href="/Style Library/shared_templates_DP/disposition_codeV5d.xsl" />
<xsl:include
href="/Style Library/shared_templates_DP/date_functions.xsl"/>

<xsl:param name="per" select="'mo'"/>
<xsl:param name="dept" select="'CRA'"/>

<xsl:output method="xml" version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" indent="yes" />
*** <xsl:text>DEBUG TEST</xsl:text>
</xsl:stylesheet>
=====================

What to do? How to add some debug printout without disturbing the other source
files?
