XP, SPS and WSS Service Packs

I've been doing some research on the new service packs for SPS2003
and
WSS, and by the looks of things, they don't seem to cause much, if
any, breakage in SharePoint implementations. I installed them on a
test box and I have not noticed any problems (yet there's virtually
no content on my test portal). I was wondering if
anyone here could provide any positive or negative effects of the
service packs, if anyone has implemented them yet.

Oh, and we're holding out on installing XP service pack 2 for now,
because of imminent breakage in other applications we use here on a
regular basis. Does anyone have any experience working with
SharePoint on the client side with XP SP2 yet? Or does anyone know
how SharePoint is affected once the service pack is in place?

We have wss. 2003, no noticeable difference in the last month or so,. 25
users all xp home or pro. Service pack 2 is now on all machines, Norton
corporate edition etc. It is all running very smoothly. We did have to
tackle a small terminal server license issue for a dozen or so users, but
that has been resolved with minimal difficulty.

We also ran into an authentication issue inside the firewall, I think the
RDP's were going outside and then back in but we switched the inside
machines to static 198.IP's and all is fine. I'm still looking for a
transactional software to merge with the site. Wouldn't life be so much
simpler if one dashboard ran everything?

Outlook, Quickbooks (or comparable) web reports and print.
