We are working with InfoPath and workflow (sharepoint 2007). When
the InfoPath form is finished its step it submits back to the
workflow which sets up a task for the next assignee in the workflow
(a handwritten approvals workflow).

But I can't see any way to get at the XML document behind the form.
From within the workflow, I seem to have access only to an extended
properties table, which contains (among other things) field name and
value of the screen fields. But where is the XML document. Surely
it must be available. The extended properties table may work for
standard word-type documents, but not for xml/form documents.

It also begs the question of how to get the changed data back into
SharePoint (when you have 'submitted' to a workflow instead of to
SharePoint).

Has anyone else experimented with these components?

So many bugs that I am beginning to lose heart - my enthusiasm for SP
2007 is definitely waning, can someone restore it for me?
