WSS SP2 issue, not longer able to index pdf documents

Asked By: Reuben    Date: Jan 13    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1412

SharePoint is not indexing pdf documents since installing Windows
SharePoint Services Service Pack 2 (SP2). We installed this patch to
fix email allerts being sent as unkown when an file was deleted from a
list.

The Gatherer log now lists the following error messages

The address could not be found, (0x80040D7B - Document filtering
cannot be completed because the document server did not respond within
the specified timeout. Try crawling the server later, or increase the
timeout values. )
The address could not be found, (0x80030109 - The docfile has been
corrupted. )
The address could not be found, (0x80042404 - A document IFilter
cannot be initialized. The document or IFilter may contain errors. )

Has anybody else come across this issue and did you go fix it by
installing post service patch 2 hotfix package.
