WSS Sites Behind ISA2004

Asked By: Keon    Date: Jun 12    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 946

I have a multi-homed box with several internal IP addresses. This box is behind ISA2004.

I have one WSS site (site01) assigned to, and it uses SSL. When I logon to the site01 at https://site01.<domain>.org, all of the links on the page are prefaced by “https://site01.<domain>.org/”.

I have another WSS site (site02) assigned to, and it doesn’t use SSL. When I logon to site02 at http://site02.<domain>.org, all of the links on the page are prefaced by the internal IP address (“”). As you can imagine, none of those links work.

My network admin insists that ISA 2004 link translation hasn’t been setup for site01, and he’s very reluctant to set it up for site02. Is the fact that site01 is secure (SSL) causing the site name to show up in links instead of its internal IP address? Do I need to either secure site02 with SSL or setup link translation for it in ISA 2004 to “fix” all of internal IP links?
