We are in the beginning phases of implementing SPS 2003, and have run across a WSS permission issue.

Currently, we have a test site collection that has approximately 15-20 individuals set with reader access. From what I can tell, by tagging them with reader access, this automatically adds them into a site group titled "reader". Additionally, in this site collection, there is a custom list that has the "reader" site group tagged with "view only" access. However, for some reason that we can not figure out, the people on this list have been able to add items to the list. We can't figure out why they are able to do this.

A little additional info is that the list does not require content approval, and the Item level permissions are Read Access = All Items, Edit Access = Only their own.

Any help would be much appreciated.
