WSS search not working after migrating site with smigrate

I used smigrate to move a wss site from one site collection to another
site collection in my sharepoint 2003 environment. After moving the
site, the site level search is no longer working on the WSS site.
Does anyone know why this might be, and what I need to do to fix it?
Is the search still trying to find things from the old site?

Is SQL full-text search  turned on at the target server?
