WSS ISA2004 Issue

Asked By: Keaton    Date: Jul 08    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 604

I have a WSS site behind ISA2004 that errs if I try to create a new item in the Events list from the “Sort by date” view. When I click on “New Item”, the resulting URL is myWssSite/Lists/Events/NewForm.aspx?Source=http" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">myWssSite/Lists/Events/NewForm.aspx?Source=http%3A%2F%myWssSite%2FLists%2FEvents%2FSort%2520by%2520date%2Easpx, and the error in the browser is

The page cannot be displayed

Explanation: There is a problem with the page you are trying to reach and it cannot be displayed.

------------------------------------------------------------

Try the following:

Refresh page: Search for the page again by clicking the Refresh button. The timeout may have occurred due to Internet congestion.

Check spelling: Check that you typed the Web page address correctly. The address may have been mistyped.

Access from a link: If there is a link to the page you are looking for, try accessing the page from that link.

------------------------------------------------------------Technical Information (for support personnel)

Error Code: 500 Internal Server Error. The request was rejected by the HTTP filter. Contact your ISA Server administrator. (12217)

I know I get this error because there are spaces in the initial view name. If I click “New Item” from the Calendar view, the resulting url is myWssSite/Lists/Events/NewForm.aspx?Source=http" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">myWssSite/Lists/Events/NewForm.aspx?Source=http%3A%2F%myWssSite%2FLists%2FEvents%2Fcalendar%2Easpx, and the New Item page loads normally.

I don’t think this workaround is much trouble, really, but I was wondering if there was an ISA2004 setting that might resolve this issue.
