WSS 3.0 Recent Changes web part not showing selected fields

We are using WSS 3.0.

We created a site with the Application template, Document Library and Review.

When I click on Settings, Document Library Settings, Recent Changes [under
Views], Modified and Date Created fields are checked, however, they are not
showing in the Recent Changes web part.

Does anyone know how to remedy this?
