WSS 2.0 and Datasheet

The individual items in the list can be edited.But when viewed in the "Edit in
Datasheet" view and edited,an exclamation point shows up with Resolve and
Read-only at the point.

Exporting to Excel returns "Cannot connect to server" error.

This is on WSS 2.0 and Office Professional 2003.

Any ideas?
