wrong URL being used in tag cloud

Asked By: Staci    Date: Aug 30    Category: MOSS    Views: 869

In our SP 2010 setup I've just noticed that the wrong URL is being used in the
tag cloud web part.

The site is on:

https://sp.mydomain.com/

However the tag cloud links start with:

http://sp-server-name/

Any ideas why this would be or how I can change it? When I installed SP and
created the first app I only used the former URL not the latter.

Did you double check that your default AAM isn't set to
http://sp-server-name/? I don't think the tag cloud uses anything other
than the default AAM.

Also, the http://sp-servername being used by the tag cloud doesnt appear
anywhere in the AAM list for any apps

I did check it. The default for the application is https://sp.mydomain.com.
However no matter what I change that to (and remove the site from IIS, extend
site etc) the URL in the tag cloud remains the same.

Even more oddly, if I do extend the site to use http://sp-server-name then the
tag url STILL doesnt work.

It's a real shame as the ability to see group tags of interesting sites would be
brilliant.

That's an IIS DNS thing isn't it??????
