workflow keeps appearing

I have a simple SharePoint default approval workflow on a document
library that keeps rearing its ugly head. The workflow has been
completed and all indications that I can find show that the workflow has
been completed, but it keeps sending notifications to the approver that
it is still active. How can I kill this thing?

Check the staging farm if you do have a copy of production running. I had that
situation once.

I ran into the same problem a few months back. I was not able to find a way to
get the notifications to stop either. It's happening on just one site
collection. So I guess I'm not really adding anything to this other than I hope
someone else has solved it too...

Well, I ended up calling Microsoft and what we found out was that when I
did a restore (actually a database upgrade) from my MOSS farm to a
SP2010 test farm, there was a known issue where the links do not reflect
the correct location. There is a fix from Microsoft.
