WorkFlow & History

Asked By: Mercedes    Date: Nov 24    Category: MOSS    Views: 1064

I just deleted the WF history list using SPD as a way of deleting its
rows becasue I could not find any other way to delete rows. (MOSS site)

Now my WFs will not run.

What to do? How to re-create it? MS site said it is created
automatically. How to clean out & manage its rows?

Just shooting in the dark here, but what if you create a new workflow? Will
that kick-start the auto-creation process?

The "Recycle bin" came to my rescue.

I restored the History List, then deleted  the offending WF, then re-created
the WF.

BUT, still, how do you manage  the rows  in a WF History List???

The workflow  history list  is just another list and can be managed normally,
after you find  it. It's a hidden list so you will need to navigate to it
manually by using the following address:

http://SiteName/Workflow%20%History/AllItems.aspx<http://SiteName/Workflow%20%25\
History/AllItems.aspx>

Since there is no column with an editControlBlock menu included you will need to
open the datasheet view using the actions menu. From there you can delete
entries. You could also go into settings and setup a normal Management policy
to delete  after a certain period of time.
