that active directory, i want ot make my own users list where user can
get access through that, how is that possible, in brief i am asking
can MS SPPS 2003 work without active directory and a network where u

SPS will run without AD, but without either AD or an NT domain you will not be
able to do much with it. You absolutely MUST use Windows users (even if they
are local to the SPS server), there is no option there.

You don't have to have/use Active Directory to deploy  SPS 2003 but you'll be
limited to a Single Server deployment model.

There's also a few other limitations related to the use of user profiles
(Audiences and possibly, My Sites).

Yes it is possible. I use it in a network like that. I
would try to collect some info about the installation
and I will send it to you.

Use your local domain accounts in leiu of external AD
accounts. Do not install Active Directory on your
SharePoint Server.

While others have said they have accomplished this - a word of warning - using
SharePoint without a directory  (NT4 or active  Directory) is not a supported
configuration. While it may install and run - there could be issues that aren't
apparent.

I would suggest you think about installing AD on the SPS server. While not an
ideal solution, you'll have a supported configuration in the event that you need
to contact support.
