Windows NT and SPS

I have to install sharepoint on a network controlled by WinNT.
As I see it, the only thing I have to do, is to install another
server as DNS server.

V1 does not require AD, it can run as a member server  on a NT Domain.
V1 does need to be on a Win2000 Server , just does not require an AD
installation.

What I meant by installing DNS server, is to work with FQDN,
or is there some way to do it with WINS in WinNT Server?
