It 's possible with Office 2003 ...

Office 2003 integration Improved File open and save integration Excel,Word,
PowerPoint, InfoPath, FrontPage, Outlook users can open files from
and save files to SharePoint sites.

If you install the SPSClient in the \SharePoint Portal Server v2.0
Beta2\WSS\Client directory, it adds that functionality to both Office and
Windows Explorer.

What about using Office 2002 and SharePoint Client + SP1 ?
Integration with Excel,Word, PowerPoint, etc. doesn't work at all.
Does anybody know if a patch is available to obtain integration between
SharePoint and Office 2000?
I mean: creating, opening, editing document using only http and webdav
