Why is a minute not a minute

Asked By: Hemali    Date: Apr 22    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 909

Does anyone know why, when asking a working flow to pause for 1 min it can
sometime be 5 mins or more sometimes before it continues:

As the history item below shows .......

27/01/2010 15:25 Comment System Account Pausing for 1 minutes
27/01/2010 15:30 Comment System Account Pausing complete

It doesn't cause me any particular problems, I'm just wondering if anyone knows
why ......

It has to do with a timer job
firing that runs about every 5 minutes, so it depends on where the pause  happens
in that cycle.

Take a look at:

stsadm -o setproperty -pn job-workflow

I knew there'd be a simple explanation.
