Which Reporting services report

Asked By: Harshini    Date: Jun 26    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 978

When opening a SSRS 2008 report, how can I display on the top bar the title of the report that has
been selected ?

Scenario:
User selects a report from a list of reports available in a doc library.
The report requires some selection parameters to fill in.
As the report won't render until the params are filled in; the dispay is only titled with "Microsoft Reporting Services" , there is
nothing else on the page to indicate to the user what they selected to run.
It would be nice to display the report title to highlight what has been selected.

I my testing environment, when I open the report  in a document library, the title bar of Internet Explorer would display “Reporting Service – Name of the report file ”. If the name of reporting  RDL files follows good naming convention, user would know where he is working on (although maybe not so descriptive as the report title defined in the report page when shown after the report is rendered).
