Weird Alternative Access Mappign Error

Asked By: Jeramy    Date: Jan 13    Category: MOSS    Views: 2329

Recently in the event viewer I am getting :
The following information is part of the event: A request was made for a URL,
http://67.200.63.7, which has not been configured in Alternate Access Mappings.
Some links may point to the Alternate Access URL for the default zone,
http://sharepoint. Review the Alternate Access mappings for this Web
application

The following information is part of the event: A request was made for a URL,
http://zerg.helllabs.net, which has not been configured in Alternate Access
Mappings. Some links may point to the Alternate Access URL for the default
zone, http://sharepoint. Review the Alternate Access mappings for this Web

Some of the errors are the external and internal IP address of my server. A lot
of them are for proxy sites: http://zerg.helllabs.net &
http://proxyjudge1.proxyfire.net

Me thinks that someone is trying to hack the server. Any thoughts?

Maybe. Check the IIS logs for the time period around when this happened.
You should be able to determine where these requests originate.

Does your firewall log requests? That would give you a broader idea of
what's trying to hit your network.
