I have created a site and for my Task list I have created a Gantt view and set
it as the default view. I then saved this site as a template for reuse. But when
I create a new site using this template, the task list does not show up as a
Gantt chart. I also tested this with other default views and it always shows up
with it's own view every time, which shows the following columns: Attachment,
Assigned To, Status, Priority, Due Date and % Complete (in this order). I
checked all the views and none of my views show this order as well as the
attachment column. What view is it pulling by default then? And how do I get the
new site to show the default view that I had created from my template?

This is a known issue/bug when using the Save Site as Template link.
There was a hotfix that corrected this earlier this year, but it was
pulled shortly after it was released. I think its been re-released, but
I'm not sure. Here's the URL for the KB article describing the hotfix.
