Web part / share point

Asked By: Cyrus    Date: Jun 17    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 2914

I have created a simple web part in Vb.net on my
local machine.I have to deploy the same on share point
server which is under network.
I am able to upload the .dwp file.but if i try to drag
uploaded webpart and put in a 'ZONE' it prompts me
with an error message.

A Web Part or Web Form Control on this Web Part Page
cannot be displayed or imported because it is not
registered on this site as safe.

I think I have missed out certain steps while
deploying on share point server.

This is the most common error  message that an inexperienced web  Part
developer will encounter. It basically means that you have a typo. There
are six specific values that must be correctly and consistently
specified throughout your Web part  Library and the web.config to prevent
this error.

For a single Web Part in a VS.NET Web Part Library project, I started to
create a list but then I remembered that Keith recently documented this
in a great post on his blog:

Does it have a PublicKeyToken? Has it been added to
the DWP and Assembly files? Has the dll been dropped
in the Assembly directory? Heve you followed up the
Microsoft checklist for webpart  development?

Yes.. dwp  has the PublicKeyToken.
I have only one DLL corresponding to webpart(i.e.
myWebPart.dll in bin folder.this dll is reffered in
dwp).I don't have any check list.

If you can get some idea please let me know.
