Web Part Page Library in onet.xml

  Asked By: Darren    Date: Jan 01    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1947

I have a custom site definition and want to create a Pages document library that
uses the Web Part Page document type.

I've added the following in my <Configuration><Lists> section
<List FeatureId="00BFEA71-E717-4E80-AA17-D0C71B360101" Type="101"
Title="Pages" Url="Pages"/>

Is there a way to get it to use the Web Part Page Document Template?

I still haven't been able to figure this one out.

Any ideas?

pages  document library  that is used for publishing can't use a Web part  page
document type. It must use one of the 4 publishing page  types or something that
inherits from them.

I'm not using it for publishing. It's just a Document library  in a team site.

I'm able to create  a document  library in the team site  and set the document
template to Web Part Page manually.

Site Actions -> Create -> Document Library
Then for "Document Template" I can select "Web Part Page"

I'm just trying to do this same thing on site creation.
