Web Part Page Customization

Asked By: Angie    Date: Sep 04    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 687

I have created a web part page. This page has custom as well as out of
the box webparts. I applied a custom CSS to this by referencing to this
CSS in the site settings section.

I have checked the CSS's referenced in the web part page template
(spstd2.aspx of C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web
server extensions\60\TEMPLATE\1033\SPSTOC\DOCTEMP\SMARTPGS).It uses
OWS.CSS, MENU.CSS, SPS.CSS and the custom CSS created by me. But
modifying the respective classes doesn't reflect all the changes. For
e.g.:

* I have made the web part titles bold (this is specified in the
.ms-WPTitle class).this is reflected in custom webparts but not in OOTB
webparts.
* Similarly, I m unable to change the font color of the webpart
content. I don't know from where it's picking up the colors
* I want to add a watermark in the Left navigation bar of the
webpart page.

How can this be done?
