On some of my workspaces, documents assigned to the web link
document profile do not display in categories when assigned to them.
I thought I would out smart SharePoint and create a new profile and
modify it so the link property was enabled. Same thing, the
documents won't display in the categories.

Matter of fact, I edited the Base profile and as soon as I added the
link profile, no documents that had the link field populated would
display in categories.
