Warmup.bat

Asked By: Jayshree    Date: Nov 18    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 900

I am using the warmup.bat solutions to startup the app pools every
morning to avoid that first user delay. I have recently switched to
running my site SSL and the scheduled bat file is prompting about "This
page is accessing information that is not under its control. This
poses a security risk. Do you want to continue?" and it has to be
answered manually from the console.

The reason I believe we get this error is because we are running 2
wfe's via hardware load balance and the entry inside the warmup.bat
does not match the ssl cert.

Suggestions?

I would leave TCP80 open for internal use. Verify you have AAMs for both
http and https, then warm up your servers on http.

I can't remember the contents of the warmup.bat file, but if it's just
accessing the site  to start the app  pool then you could right a .Net
program to do what the warmup.bat file  is doing that wouldn't have a
problem with that confirmation message.
