*.dwp files are replaced with *.webpart files but contain essentially
the same information.

I have a requirement for displaying news in our portal.

Here is a description of the reuirement. please suggest how we can do this.

Req: Display 3 targeted news (based on audience) in home page & provide "More link" to view all the other news items.

For this, I have configured "News" webpart. Some of the news webpart  configurations that I changed was:

Maximum number of Listing: 2

Group by: Audience

Sort Listing by: Last Modified Date

More Info Link Text Label: More News ...

More Info Link URL: /News

Rest were default.

The webpart still shows more than "3 news" items infact all the news items targeted to that audience. If I change the "Group by" property to "Area", then it shows only 3 news items, but then we loose the news targeting.

I have also tried the same in "News for You" webpart, but same result. I think this webpart is special case of "News webpart" (or pre-configured properties of News webpart).

Any ideas to achieve this?
