Volume in Sharepoint

Asked By: Ricardo    Date: Feb 06    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 478

I am interested in finding out about how volume affects Sharepoint.
Currently, I only have a couple thousand documents in Sharepoint and
have not experienced any slow downs or issues. Has anyone
experienced issues or slow downs with a greater number of documents
and what was the volume when errors occurred?

How are the 200,000 documents  working for you?

Actually, it became complicated as we were trying to translate a large
number from WordPerfect DOS while importing.....AND.....we found out the
hard way that some of the docs were password protected......so we backed off
and only imported the most recent 110,000 docs.

So, currently  we have about 110,000 and it seems that everything is OK,
although we still are seeing an issue with occasional loss of authentication
in Word while try gin to save to the portal......It does appear that turning
off the background update of GPO in AD stabilizes things quite a bit for
some reason.
