Visual Studio 2005 and Sharepoint Workflows

Asked By: Martha    Date: Feb 01    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1454

I know i have asked this before, but i am so lost and have no idea
where to look. I need to create a simple tasking workfow and with each
step of the workflow i will need a different form for user input, but
also show a readonly copy of the previous inputed data from the early
steps in the workfow and at the same time the ability to move
attachements and files into doc libraries. I have looked every where
and can not find a good webcast or step-by-step does anyone have ideas?

In visual  Studio a Form is generally equal to a task. So for each step in your
process you will create a new Task, with a new Task Form associated. Each
successive Task form will need to be built to display data from the previously
completed tasks and receive input for the current task. You'll also have to
provide some kind of UI for the user to move attachments and files. Copying
files from one location to another in a visual studio  workflow isn't oo
difficult, but building a UI for that will be quite a challenge. This is a
pretty advanced workflow and I don't think you'll find a webcast that covers
anything to this depth.

As a starter I would suggest working through the following MSDN webcasts to get
started:

msevents.microsoft.com/.../...astEventDetails.aspx" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">msevents.microsoft.com/.../...astEventDetails.aspx\
