This functionality in WSS3.0 is identical to WSS2.0;
WSS3.0
1. Navigate to Announcements (or any list)
2. Select Settings / list  Settings
3. Scroll to the Views section and select/create a view
4. In the Filter section
- select "Created By (or) Modified By"
- select "is equal to"
- enter [Me]
WSS2.0
1. Navigate to Announcements (or any list)
2. Select Modify Settings and columns
3. Scroll to the Views section and select/create a view
4. In the Filter section
- select "Created By (or) Modified By"
- select "is equal to"
- enter [Me]

On any list  view, you can filter  where Created is equal to [Me]
(including the square brackets).
