When a SP user browses a folder, the URL that (s)he sees looks in an almost
machine code format (suffix substring of the URL).
projects.infonet.companyname.com/.../def\
ault.aspx?RootFolder=%2fsites%2fProgramOffice%2fPP%2fEDWPolarisInf%2fProject%20D\
ocuments%2f03%2dAssessment%2fETL%20Code%20Migration%20Workstream%2fLegacy%20Supp\
orting%20Documentation&FolderCTID=&View=%7b163D6513%2d170E%2d44EC%2dA69A%2d4089A\
442B174%7d
I find the above URL rather cumbersome to edit to see a human readable version
of the URL to that folder.
When there is at least one document in a folder, the doclink may be viewed via
the document "properties" (somewhat human readable).
projects.infonet.companyname.com/.../Pro\
ject%20Governance/Project%20Charter/Scope%20Control/Scope%20Control%20-%20EDW%20\
Polaris%20Infrastructure%20Program%2012-14-2010.xlsx
However, I find that I need to manually edit the above link in order to obtain a
"human readable" URL for the folder (location of all documents in that folder).
projects.infonet.companyname.com/.../Pro\
ject%20Governance/Project%20Charter/Scope%20Control/
What is the best way to reconcile this issue so that I can minimize the manual
editing of folder URLs?
