Version history

Asked By: Ricardo Mcdonald         Date: Mar 18, 2010      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 249

When I am logged in into our document portal as a reader and I want to
see the version history of a ducoment this is not possible
All I get is: No version history for this document

When I have coordinator or author rights I do get the version history for
the same document.

Is it not possible to see version history as a reader?
Why is this?

The reader  role is very limited. They cannot add, delete, or check
in/out documents. They are allowed to see published documents only.
Therefore any documents during the review process (prior to publishing),
they will not see.

I know that, but it is very strange that it is possible to click
on version  history link and receive a box with no version history
for this document. Even when there is one

Better is no possibillity to get there
