Version 2 Features

Take a look at
www.microsoft.com/.../whats_new_sps.asp

Does anyone have any insight to what improvements SharePoint 2 will give for
backup and restore? Microsoft just says the following on the V2 feature list
"Improved back up and restore enables flexible site recovery." but that is
not very helpful.

I still don't have a clue whether V2 will help me with replication.
