This may be a silly question, but can anybody tell me if we can importv2 templates into SharePoint v3? For example, can we import the TravelRequest template, that is only available in v2, to v3? Thanks for anyhelp on this.
Not that I'm aware of. V2 templates and v3 templates have a differentarchitecture. They're framed up very differently.
You could, however, migrate a site with the template you want out ofv2 applied and export the template once the site is migrated. We didthis with one of the custom templates we're using in MOSS that wasoriginally designed in v2 (though we did it as part of the upgradeprocess). Note that this does require a server to migrate from/to,and it assumes that you even have access to v2 in the first place.
