Users Access

Asked By: Douglas Price         Date: Mar 13, 2003      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 165

Sometimes users are not able to access SPP from specially remote locations, what could be the cause of this? Automatic Login in Intranet Zone is enabled, and also all the Local Intranet security settings are lower.

Remote location!! Sometimes or all the times for all users  from the same remote  location? Are you going through some sort of Proxy Server in between the locations  and using Integrated Security?

Its not sometimes, but it happens to specific users  only, not all the users. Some are accessing the SPP from the same location, but some r not. We have different domains which are communicating with each other with same security.

Tell them to start their browser and on the Tools menu they choose
Internet Options. Then under Security they choose to either click on
Default level and then OK or to choose Custom level and there scroll
down till they see "User authentication". Please ask them to be sure
that "Prompt for user name and password" is chosen.
