User Profiles problem

Here's a weird problem we're having...in the Manage User Profiles
section, in the Reports To field, you can specify a manager for a
particular user. That being said, when you go to that manager's
profile page, it should, in theory, display all the names that have
that user as their manager. What we're running into is that only
some of the names show up as being "Direct Reports" for the manager
(s), not all the names that are under that particular manager(s).
What could be going on here? Each manager only has one account, and
every user has someone listed as their manager.

Are you filling these in using the SPS interface or inporting these from AD? If
it's the latter, is it possible that not all the user  profiles are being
imported correctly? If the former, what do you get for reporting structure when
going to the My Site for a user that doesn't show  up correctly?

We currently have an AD import running, incremental every night,
full import every Saturday night. At the moment, we still don't
have all the info in Active Directory for each user  yet (i.e. first
name, last name, phone, etc...we just have the domain account  name
and the preferred name for each user in AD at the moment). For the
other information, all the user information in SharePoint is entered
using the SPS interface. I know that once the full AD import kicks
in, it wipes out all the information in the SharePoint user profiles
that are mapped to AD, since they are mostly blank fields. But yet
when all the information is still in the profiles  on the SharePoint
end, the user that doesn't show  up in the Manager's My Site still
shows that the user has that same manager  in THEIR My Site.

Hopefully this isn't too muddy, it's a task on its own to explain
something without visual aids.
