I create a list where all users' permission is contributors. We have a new guy that joined the team and I added him to the parent site with contributor access but he is not able to add new Items to the list. I tried to troubleshoot this by going into list's Settings > Permissions and Management but "Permissions for this list" is missing. I did some researching and read that settings are inherted from the parent site, if they aren't specified in the list settings since he's added there I'm at an end on how to resolve this anymore.

We are using SharePoint 3.0
