I'm working on a pretty standard WSS setup.

No active directory, (do have NT4 vintage domain controller authentication.)

I am a WSS-defined site administrator.

I am not a domain administrator.

I am unable to edit other user's info from this page:
http://[sitename_root]/_layouts/1033/userinfo.aspx

(I get a password challenge, then the "send a message to request access"
dialog, which BTW, sends an email message to me!)

What authentication/authorization is required in order to do this?
