User does not have permission to perform RESTORE

Asked By: Felicia    Date: Feb 21    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 2091

I found this when I tried to restore a site.
The web server is in Box A, the SQL Server is in Box B. The Backup source is from Box C.

Portal creation failed System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: User does not have permission to perform this action.

I used a service account user that is a member of administrator group on Box A and Box B.

What did I miss?

It's already solved.

the solution is:
I put the service  account user  as a backup  operator group  on each Box A, B and C
