I keep getting this error when trying to add new users to my site. Is ittrue that the user must already have an existing Windows NT account beforeSharepoint will add them as a user? That kind of defeats the purpose of theweb-based administrator doesn't it?Is there a way I can set Sharepoint to automatically create the Windowsaccounts like I used to?
Using Sharepoint Portal - No, account must pre-exist in AD (however thereare ways you can cheat on it)Using Sharepoint Services - Yes, run setup in Account Creation Mode. Youstill need AD where accounts will be created.
