This is an odd occurrence, and I have not been able to find any reference to
it. A client using WSS v3 reported that when a new user is added to Active
Directory, and then granted permission to a SharePoint group their display
name shows up as domain\username. Users that are currently in AD, and were
there prior to Monday, don't have this problem. It's odd since nothing (at
least that I'm aware of) has changed in their environment. Any ideas on how
to change the display name to just the users name would be greatly
appreciated.
