Is it possible to move the usage reports stored at C:\Program
Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server
Extensions\12\Logs\usage_reports to another server. I tried moving it to
a SAN \\server\S$\usuage_reports <file:///\\server\S$\usuage_reports>
but I am getting an error. The usage analysis page says Important:
Before changing the log file location, click Show me more information to
review security requirements. But the link is not provided on the page.
Has anyone else been successful in moving their log files. If I move it
to the SAN automatically via a job will the system be able to render the
files since they will not be at the default location. Does anyone have
any documentation on the security requirements for the new location.
