Usage Analysis Setup error

Hoping someone has run into a similar situation to this or know the
issue. We are in an established MOSS 07 environment and have recently
begun using usage analysis.

I enabled usage analysis on the farm (CA > Operations > Usage Analysis
Processing > Checked Enable Logging and Enable usage analysis
processing. The log location is the default location ...\12\Logs. I also
made sure that WSS_WPG could modify/read/write this area) and SSP
(Office SharePoint Usage Reporting > Usage Reporting > Checked Enable
advanced usage analysis processing and Enable search query logging.)

I am still getting an error in the SSP area stating "Detailed usage
analysis processing requires usage logging to be enabled, but Windows
SharePoint Services usage logging is disabled for this farm."

Any ideas on next steps? I found one reference to it and it mentioned
recreating the SSP. Thoughts?
