Url rewriting

I have questions on CMS SharePoint
I am wondering if it is possible to do URL rewriting?
And is it possible to have a ASP handler on a CMS Sharepoint web site?

Something like this?

http://mysite/subsite/pages/mypage.aspx to http://mysite/subsite/mypage ?

Then, have a look at the Imtech SharePoint Semantic URL Feature

(the only problem is - it is 32bit only)
