Uploading Executables

Asked By: Palash Gohain         Date: Feb 02, 2010      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 191

My company just had a minor virus attack a few days ago, and so SharePoint
has become a focal point. The quick question is ....

Is it possible to exclude .bat, .cmd, or .exe files from being
uploaded into the web store?

With a decent antivirus solution for SPS this is possible. I'm not sure
if Trend PortalProtect is already available.

I have talked to MicroTrend earlier today and they are still in Beta with a
release date of this quarter but they don't have a firm date.

The bigger question  is, Is there a way to programmatically exclude  those
extension from being uploaded?
