Uploading a document to a doc library from an InfoPath form

Asked By: Jody    Date: Mar 26    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 3748

I would like to create an InfoPath form template that uses the file upload
control but rather than attaching the file to the form it uploads to a specified
document library. Is this possible and if so, can someone help me with the
process/point me to the information?

To get the file  from infoPath to document  library you can follow second half of
part 3 of the following article
chrissyblanco.blogspot.com/.../...document-via.htm\
l

I have used it and it works fine, except that I was running with the workflow
and my workflow errors out when the file is more than 900 Kb in size. The file
does get uploaded but workflow fails.

I don't see you having the same problem though.

According to me you should publish info path form  as content type(you can
create a new forms library  or use existing forms library).

So this info path form will be available as Template.

you need to click new select that template  .infopath form will be opened,

after filling form you can just click on save button.which will save form in
forms library.
