Probably these list  templates are using different site  definitions.

Thanks for the quick response. Is there a way to still move the template
or do we have to recreate the list  from scratch?

I'm not sure to your answer, but this is what happening.
List templates  are defined in
<Drive>:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server
extensions\60\TEMPLATE\1033\XML\*WEBTEMPSPS.XML* for SPS

and the URL to list  template gallery is
http://[vs]/_catalogs/lt/Forms/AllItems.aspx?

Now click Modify settings and columns and edit the view to add Site
Definition ID column. This will show you the list template ID that can be
match in WEBTEMPSPS.XML file.

Probably you may have to create  a new list. Not sure. *Please do let me know
your solution*.

I'm sorry, is your question related to list template or site  template
gallery.

List templates  are specific to the site  definition used for the original site.
You can use the export to Excel and Create custom list  from Excel functionality
to do a migration though...
