I have a user (MOSS 2007) who tries the following:

1) Navigates to a subfolder within a document library
2) Initiates an upload from within that subfolder
3) Checks the document in when prompted

The document he uploaded does not appear in the subfolder from where he initiated the action. Instead, it appears two levels up inside the root of the document library.

I tested with another user... granted the same permissions, and he was able to upload directly to the subfolder as expected. This phenomenon appears to be related to the specific user somehow. I confirmed that the user has 'update' rights to the document library as well as both subfolders.

Has anybody else experienced this? Know any causes/solutions?
