Upload Only Page

Asked By: Pallavi    Date: Sep 05    Category: MOSS    Views: 751

I need to create a page where users can upload but not download,
nor see what has already been uploaded, except, perhaps, things that they
uploaded themselves. Is there something like this already in sharepoint? If
not, can I make it in asp.net to use a sharepoint list?

One solution, which we use, is to create a simple workflow in sharepoint
designer to move a newly added documents from one doclib to the next
(invisible) one.

That's one way. If it's to a DocLib you could allow them to add items through
the normal way and only have one view available that only shows the FileName or
Title field. Just make sure they can't click on anything to get a link. You'll
need to make sure they can't get at those fields on any forms and remember not
to let people create their own views!

access) with just enough UI to allow the user to browse to his files for upload,
and then a little texteditor for a description. Can that be sent into
sharepoint? Then the team could use a regular sharepoint view for looking at
them. Would that mean some setting to be set by the host provider (wss3,

I'm going to say that you may want to follow Sander's idea then...however,
here's how I assume it should also work for you:
