we are trying to upgrade our Sharepoint Environment to
MOSS.
Currently we are running SPS 2003 (SP2) with WSS 2.0 (SP2).
We have 1 front end server, and 1 indexing server and a SQL 2005 DB
server.
Our site DB is over 105 GB so an in place upgrade seems like a no-go
(believe 35 GB is the max db size for an in place upgrade).
I ran the prescan tool that gave me a bunch of output (errors) I'm
still deciphering.
When I attempted the in place upgrade in our dev environment it
predictably failed.
Also, we are currently using one account for all of our configuration
in our 2003 enviornemnt.
In reading up on MOSS I assume we'll need minimum 3 domain accounts
for sure.
For people with experience upgrading in a similar environment, in
your opinion what is the best/safest upgrade approach to take?
Been looking for step by step instructions on the gradual upgrade but
have yet to find any docs that were very helpful.
