Upgrade Virtual Server?

Asked By: Grayson    Date: Apr 19    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 838

Has anyone encountered this. When I click on the default web site it asks me to upgrade the virtual server.

When I click on the default web site link it takes me to this page

I am not sure what to do at this point.

Did you install a service pack or hotfix? If you have direct server  access as the app pool account login as that and do a stsadm –o upgrade  –forceupgrade … sounds like that step was skipped after a service pack or hotfix was installed.

By the way, if this is service pack 2 … do a reboot when you’re done too.

We installed SP2. I will try the reboot and see if that works.

You missed a step … you *MUST* run stsadm –o upgrade  –forceupgrade from the command prompt as the app pool user… Then do a reboot.
